When choosing paint colors, think of a base layer that is going to showcase some bright fun fabrics and really show off your pictures. Its best to keep it simple and add in your color with fabrics and furniture. This is my hallway that I just finished up this week. Not only does this shade of gray contrast with all my white frames ( beautiful shots of my boys by Kristina Young Photography in Topsfield, Ma), but the stripe adds some architectural dimension that the room really needed.
Don't be afraid to play around with paint..but keep it simple!
The wall color and stripe is Sherwin Williams SW7029 - Agreeable Gray. The white stripe is SW7009 - Pearly White (love this shade - it has a gray base) The trim is SW7005 - Pure White.
I also painted my dining room in SW7030 - Anew Gray I am putting a Dash and Albert stripe rug in this bright coral color, and drapes in this super preppy navy, coral, and pink stripe. Can't wait to see it all come together!
